Where Your Money Goes

Let’s make A Difference Together!

When I lived overseas, I was shocked to see Nonprofits that both helped and harmed communities. It is for this reason that I believe it is important to know and trust the places to which you are donating. Each of the Nonprofits listed below are near and dear to my heart. I have relationships with each of them and stay vigilantly aware of movements within the organization. First hand, I have seen how these specific corporations benefit the communities they serve and building tangible, lasting impact.

Seed Effect

Microfinancing Program

Without access to banking services refugees and those trapped in material poverty don’t have a safe place to save for lump sum expenses, like school fees, or a way to access adorable credit to support income generation. Without access to insurance, paying for emergency expenses can be devastating. Broken systems force many of these families to struggle to survive rather than thrive, and, as a result, they lack the opportunity to overcome poverty.

Seed Effect’s Christ-centered savings-led microfinance program provides a safe place for poor households to save and borrow money in order to generate income, as well as Christ-Centered community and spiritual discipleship.

Lighthouse

Anti Trafficking

Chiang Mai, known as Thailand’s rose of the north, and a prominent sex tourism destination, is home to at least 5,000 male, female and child prostitutes. During tourist ‘high season’ every November to March, the numbers can swell to nearly 25,000 prostitutes as visitors crowd Chiang Mai’s bars, nightclubs, massage parlors, or karaoke bars. The Lighthouse ministry give women and children a way out. They provide safe houses and teach valuable skills and give women the opportunity to restart their lives.

REap granada

Self-Sustainable Community Garden, Prison Ministry, Sports Camp

Reap Granada is in Antigua Guatemala, they provide a self-sustainable community garden, do weekly prison visits to encourage hope to prisoners who desire to turn their lives around and offer a community center where they host a variety of sports camps for kids.

The community center is located in an area that was once known as the most dangerous neighborhood in our community.  Where violence, drugs, and fear once ruled, we now host games, classes, movies, and worship.  A sense of peace, safety, and friendship now abides, giving them the opportunity to connect with more people closer to their homes.
